Structural Change (specific suggestions in lifestyle, habits, organization)
Counseling / Coaching / Teaching
If you or your child’s teacher sees that your child may have trouble learning, you should probably pursue a learning assessment. BEFORE visiting THE LEARNING CENTER – ISTANBUL have your child’s hearning and vision tested. It may well be that they just need a hearing aid or a pair of glasses. If hearing and vision are fine, then the child should receive a learning assessment.
Assessments:
We administer the following academic assessments:
1. Early Reading Diagnostic Assessment (grade K-2).
This test provides information on the skills your child needs to develop to become a successful reader. The skills include phonemic and phonologic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
2.Tests of Basic Skills (grade 1 – 12).
These tests assess whether your child is “on track” with his or her peers in the areas of reading, comprehension, spelling and math. Well-known standardized tests are used that indicate your child’s abilities in comparison to peers in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.
3. Speech and language assessments.
